All my friends has a low rider
Gage got a huge gift from Santa this morning. He got a car! I know, he is only 3! I have to admit, I jealous. I wish I had something like that when I was a kid. He was a little scared of it at first, but when I let Ellie ride (I know... I'm brave) he liked it (at least for a few feet). Here are some pictures of that adventure.

The night before Christmas
THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS
by Clement Clarke Moore
or Henry Livingston
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;
And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer,
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;
"Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! on Cupid! on, Donder and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot;
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.
His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow;
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath;
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly.
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night."
Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and safe and Happy New Year!!!

SEC CHAMPS
Had to write about it! GO GATORS!! Florida Gators are this years SEC Champs! I sooooo can't wait to get to school on Monday and do the Gator chomp in all my kids faces! I bet some of them won't even come to school so that they don't have to deal with me. LOL! All week long, me and Josh both have been getting it from every Alabama fan that we know. It was always about how they were going to kill us and just dominate. Well, I think Alabama did a great job in the game, but Florida was the better team. I mean they even did it without two of their best running backs (Harvin and Ingram). Now on to the National Championship!
By the way, Josh was right. Every time that Adam and him goes to the SEC championship game together (without anyone else) Florida always wins! I guess that is a new tradition that won't soon be broken.
GO GATORS!!!

Like Father, Like Daughter.
Well, tomorrow is the big day. Florida vs Alabama for the SEC Championship. I can't wait for it to be over because I am so tired of listening to all the "talk" about it. I will be watching and cheering on Florida though. Won' t miss this game for the world.
Tonight we had Gabe's birthday party and we just can't wait for tomorrow. So, we decided to go ahead and dress for the occasion. Josh said that we should dress Ellie in something Florida. I told him that I didn't think she could wear anything she had, but I would try on her jersey. It's 12mths but she is starting to wear some of those clothes. So why not. I gave it a try and she could wear it. IT WAS SOOO CUTE!! I did have to put a bow in her hair because I was afraid that she looked to much like a boy. Well, Josh noticed that her jersey was #1 and he had one too. So, here are the pictures for you to see them in their matching outfits!
Ellie does love Carter!
My friend Ashley now has a blog (http://www.keepingupwiththekellys-ak.blogspot.com/) and she has just put a post about Ellie and Carter riding the "Carter Express". I had Ellie in my lap as I was reading it and she recognized Carter and started reaching for the computer screen and talking her normal gibberish. It was so sweet!!! I called for Josh to come in a get a few pictures of her. I guess she really does love Carter!!

Our house at Christmas
I wanted to show you pictures of our house at Christmas during my last blog when I went on and on about being in the Christmas spirit. I finally got a chance to put up my decorations this weekend and I had to take pictures to show you all.
The picture of our Christmas tree really doesn't do it justice. You need to come and see it all lit up in person. I did have to find a new place for our stockings this year. I have been putting it on the ends of the fireplace, but this year I had one extra stocking to hang up. I really didn't want to put it right in the middle of my Christmas Village, so I cleaned off a spot on our stand beside the t.v and put them there.
I know that my house is not as decorated as some family members' house, but I like it. We do have a few decorations outside, but still no house lights. I should have thought about Christmas lights when we bought a house with unbelievable high roofs!! Oh well. I can't wait for the actual Christmas day to hurry and arrive!!!
1st Thanksgiving
This was Ellison's first Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful fun filled day. First we went to Grandmaw and PawPaw Walls' house for a HUGE meal. We got to play with my cousin Adam's boys; and I have to say, they had as much fun with Ellie and she did with them. Then we came home for a little relaxation (that means long nap!) before heading off the Grandby's, Papa's and Great MawMaw Inez's house. Again, we had a HUGE meal! The only bad part about that day was that Ellie couldn't enjoy the same food as me and her daddy. I did, however, find her some turkey baby food and she ate every bit of it. I guess I will need to watch out for her next year. She might be the one eating all the turkey!! Hope everyone had a Happy Turkey Day!
Sleeping Buddies
All throughout chruch, Ellie fought sleep. She wasn't being bad though, just would not sit still!! Or quit talking. Well when we got home, Josh gave her a bottle and before she even got half way done, she had fallen to sleep. He went and laid her in bed and this is how she ended up. By the way, she loves sleeping with her gator. Aren't they cute?

Christmas
Last year I just could not get myself into the Christmas spirit. I didn't want to decorate or go shopping. I just felt "Ba hum bug". This year is a different story. I really can't wait for Christmas. I am so excited, even thought I can't afford alot of Christmas presents this year. I can't wait to decorate and put up my tree! Josh's grandmother had up their tree today when I dropped Ellie off, and it made me want to put mine up even more! I have always had this rule though: No Christmas until after Thanksgiving. I feel like if I put it up before, it will take away from Thanksgiving holiday. Nobody needs to do that. Thanksgiving is the one time of the year where everyone is suppose to be thankful for everything they have. I know I am, more now than I ever have.
Anyways, I can't wait to put my stuff up!! Thanksgiving needs to hurry along!! I have been trying to figure out a date to do it and I think I will put it up one day while Josh is gone. Kinda surprise him with all the decorations! I don't think he likes putting it up anyways. I do wish, however, that I could put up my outside lights!! I desperately need a City power truck (or any truck with the lift box that goes high up), or someone with a really really tall latter, or someone that is willing to slide (maybe even fall) off our roof.
Our roof can be steep in places, especially over the front side of the house. We tried the first year we lived here. Josh climbed on top of the roof and slipped several times. So we decided that was a bad idea. We then tried his Uncle Jimmy's really tall latter (I believe it was 16 ft or taller) and it was still too short to reach it. So if anyone has any ideas on how to get them up, please feel free to come help!!! I would love to have them up. And yes, I would probably be one of those people that left their lights up year round. Face it, who would want to get back up there and take them down after all that hard work? I wouldn't.
So, anyways... I am starting to ramble because I am so sleepy. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am so ready for Christmas!! Hope you all have a great week and Happy Thanksgiving in case I don't write before then!

Naptime
This weekend we visited AK, Ash and Carter. As you probably remember from previous blogs, Carter loves Ellie. Ellie likes him too but not as much as he loves her. It is soooo funny to watch them together. Well, it was getting late and both were very tired. Ellie had decided that she was going to do everything that Carter did. Well, he wanted his mommy so Ellie wanted her too. Ashley had both of them in her lap. Before we new it, Carter had laid his head on Ellie's shoulder and fell asleep!! It was the cutest thing. Here is the picture from that night.

Pimpin the hat...
Just like daddy
Ellie is just like her daddy. She has discovered football! She loves to watch Josh throw the ball into the air. A few days ago I caught them in action.
So serious!
Dad, let me have it!!!

A Haunting at Woodville High
Thursday there was a haunting at Woodville High School. All of our kids turned into zombies and mummies!! Especially our cheerleaders! Just look at the picture!
NO, what really happened was that we won the pep rally of the week from channel 19. Our cheerleader (being in the halloween spirit) decided to do a spooky pep rally! They did a great job. They danced the Thriller dance, our new teachers did an apple bobbing contest, and we said goodbye to our senior football players. Overall I have to say that it was the best pep rally that they have done! GO Panthers!

Happy Halloween and Happy Birthday
Happy Halloween to everyone (a day late)! And Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband!! This year was Ellie's first Halloween! She decided that she wanted to be Alberta (UF gator girl mascot). Of course we couldn't tell her no. And as you can see from the pictures she looked adorable!! Especially when she would crawl! She even has learn to growl, so she really sounded like one too! Gabe was Big Al (UA mascot) and he was sooo cute!! I don't know if you can tell or not, but this family is a little obsessed with the SEC! I think we represented the best of the SEC for Halloween!
It was also Josh's 29th Birthday!!! For his birthday surprise, Cody came home! We haven't seen him since this summer so it was great. Of course it is taking Ellie and little time to remember who he is, but he know she loves him!
